MISSION
To protect and defend the Missouri Model of Conservation and its underlying principles including its non-political nature, constitutional authority, and dedicated funding.
GOALS
Initiate and support efforts to inform, educate, and collaborate with citizens and political leaders regarding the importance of conservation to the state’s overall health, economic security, and benefits to future generations.
Build relationships with state political leaders to help them understand and appreciate the benefits of the Missouri Model of Conservation.
Prevent abuses of the Missouri Model of Conservation by partisan government and legislators.
Oppose challenges to the Conservation Commission’s make up and constitutional authority.
Oppose attempts to redirect, sequester, sunset, or eliminate the Conservation Commission’s dedicated funding.
